Why pay-as-you-go SMS makes sense for GPS trackers

 

Most GPS trackers only need SMS during initial setup. Configuration commands are sent to the device via SMS to set parameters such as tracking intervals, geofence boundaries, APN and server addresses. Once configured, a tracker typically communicates entirely over data — meaning SMS usage drops to near zero for the life of the device.

Unlike SIM plans with a fixed SMS bundle, with our Tracker plan you only pay for SMS actually sent.. If your tracker sends no SMS that month, you pay nothing for SMS. It’s that simple.

Even better — configuration commands can be sent directly from within your SIM management dashboard, so you may never need to send an SMS from outside the platform at all.
